Low-barrier circular route "Blechhammer"

Under the motto "Exercise for all - family-friendly, barrier-free and senior-friendly," you will find low-barrier routes in the forest. On well-signposted paths, it is easier to start walking, hiking, Nordic walking, rolling or even running.

Start from the forest parking lot at the Vogelwoog lake (accessible by car via Merkurstraße or by public transport, bus line 105, bus stop "Vogelwoogstraße").

The circular trail (total distance 3.6 km) leads past the restaurant "Kunst Café am Vogelwoog" located directly at Vogelwoog lake and the "Hotel Blechhammer" around the Blechhammer lake. It can be shortened about halfway along a comfortable valley crossing.

Numerous benches line the contemplative route through the Kaiserslautern mixed forest.

Once again, a forest area that is close to the city and easy to reach was deliberately chosen for the trail. Its scenic attractiveness as well as the bright, clear location will satisfy the safety needs of senior citizens and families. Numerous signs along the way provide easy orientation.

The low-barrier trails are a joint project of the Senior Citizens' Advisory Council of the City of Kaiserslautern, the Representative for the disabled of the City of Kaiserslautern, the Tourist Information Office, the Forestry Office Kaiserslautern and the state initiative "Rheinland Pfalz - Land in Bewegung".
