These municipal museums – the Theodor-Zink Museum and the Wadgasserhof – are devoted to city, cultural and everyday history.

Ethnic and handicraft exhibits at the permanent exhibition document the key events and eras, from the earliest traces of settlement to the present day. To complement and link with the historical collections, the focus of the periodical exhibitions is on the contemporary handicrafts and design. In addition, there are exhibitions by contemporary artists from the region, with contributions from various cultural and scientific institutions.
