So does the region. Right at our front door the Palatinate Forest begins with its network of hiking paths and the nature is full of delightful surprises. The area around Kaiserslautern is full of attractions. The favorable location makes possible day excursions in all directions, for example to Trier, Koblenz, Speyer or Heidelberg. You shouldn't miss a trip to the Southern Palatinate which has a reason for being called the "German Toscana". The possibilities for accommodations in the region are also versatile and extensive and the proverbial Palatine hospitality is more than just a saying or a cute characteristic. It is reflected in the excellent regional gastronomy and accommodations which offer the right solution for every purpose. For the World Cup, in addition 120 spaces for caravans with complete infrastructure (toilets, showers, electricity, water) have been set up. These are at the Daenner-Platz (75 spaces), the square in front of the Burgherren-Halle in Hohenecken (20) and the square in front of the TuS Hall in Dansenberg (25).
